Annual operating budget - full transparency

Aashiyana's running cost is approximately ₹63.24 Lakh (~$76,000) per year - about ₹5.27 Lakh every month. This covers school and home staff salaries, food for our girls, fuel, medical care, utilities and learning materials. Every rupee donated goes directly to operations.

Donor questions, answered.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Donations to the Madhur Sandesh Centre Trust are eligible for tax deduction under Section 80G of the Indian Income Tax Act. We'll email you an 80G receipt within 7 days of receiving your transfer. Please share your PAN at the time of donation so we can issue the certificate correctly.

Can I donate from outside India?

Yes. International donors are warmly welcome. For wire transfers, please email aashiyanainstgoa@gmail.com and we'll share FCRA-compliant routing instructions. Many of our supporters are members of the Indian diaspora who once lived in or near Goa.

Is Zakat acceptable here?

Yes. Aashiyana is Zakat-eligible. Many of our girls come from impoverished Muslim families, and Zakat directly funds their food, shelter and education - fulfilling its highest purpose.

Can I sponsor a specific girl?

Yes - through our Sponsor-a-Girl programme. For ₹15,000 a month, you become the dedicated sponsor for one girl's complete care. You'll receive periodic updates and progress reports, while protecting her privacy. Mention "Sponsor a girl" in your donation purpose to begin.

Will I get a receipt?

Always. We email an acknowledgement immediately on receiving your transfer, and an 80G tax-exemption certificate within 7 working days for Indian donors. International donors receive a non-tax acknowledgement letter on Trust letterhead.

Can I visit Aashiyana?

Visits are welcome with prior appointment. To protect the privacy and safety of our girls, all visitors must be pre-cleared by our management. Email or WhatsApp us to schedule a visit.

Can I donate goods or volunteer my time?

Absolutely. We accept donations of books, clothing, learning materials and bulk food supplies. Skilled volunteers (teachers, counsellors, doctors, vocational trainers) are warmly received. Please contact us to discuss.
