From residential childcare to a primary school, from skill development to community health camps - Aashiyana operates an integrated ecosystem serving girls and the wider community.

Programme one

Aashiyana Children's Home since 2010

A safe, nurturing residential home for vulnerable girls - operational for over a decade. Focus on education, emotional well-being and overall development.

1. Shelter & basic needs

  • Accommodation: Spacious and secure dormitories with facilities for daily needs.
  • Nutrition: Nutritious meals meeting the dietary needs of growing girls.
  • Healthcare: Regular medical check-ups and access to physical and mental healthcare services.

2. Education & learning

  • Formal education: Children are enrolled in Goa government-recognised schools, with elementary education at the Aashiyana Institute itself.
  • Extra-curricular: Arts, sports and group discussions for skills and social development.
  • Specialised tutoring: Additional academic support for children facing challenges.

3. Emotional & psychological support

  • Counselling: Regular sessions to help girls cope with past trauma, build resilience and foster positive mental health.
  • Community: A safe space to bond, develop friendships and feel part of a supportive family unit.

4. Skill development & vocational training

  • Life skills: Communication, conflict resolution, time management.
  • Vocational training: Older girls are introduced to programmes that prepare them for future employment, promoting self-reliance.

MoU with Shaheen EduPower, New Delhi

In our endeavour to deliver excellent education, Aashiyana Institute has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Shaheen EduPower, a New Delhi-based educational organisation, for comprehensive academic support - including the training of teaching staff and management.

Programme three

Aashiyana Model School

Our pre-primary section offers activity-based early childhood learning, building foundational literacy, numeracy and social skills through play, story and structured exploration.

The earliest years of a child's life shape everything that follows. Aashiyana Model School ensures every child - whether resident or from the community - gets a strong, nurturing start.

Programme four

Goa College of Skill Development

A vocational centre offering skill-building programmes, soft-skills training and employability enhancement courses for older girls and youth from the community.

The College helps young women develop the practical skills they need to enter the workforce with confidence - sewing, computer literacy, communication, financial literacy and more.

Programme five

Community welfare & outreach

Aashiyana is not only a children's home and school campus - it is a community development centre serving thousands in and around Zuarinagar and Sancoale, Goa.

After-school tutorials for community children

Free and subsidised academic support for students from Zuarinagar and neighbouring settlements - launched in 2025. A daily after-school batch of 15 students currently receives tutoring on the campus.

Weekend Islamiyat classes

Conducted in collaboration with the Board of Innovative Education, Goa, our weekly Sunday-morning classes are attended by around 45 Muslim students and cover:
